Old Men In Hats (OMIH) are three neighbors and friends, all in our 70s, who have played music for people since we were teenagers. But we never played as a trio until recently. Turns out it works very well! Together we know so many songs in many different styles and we always have a good time mixing them up. We enjoy old country, blues, Western swing, jazz, and even a reggae tango number you’re sure to recognize. And there are always surprises, perhaps a bandura tune or a concert zither number, who knows? Multi-instrumentalist Kenneth Bloom, percussionist Steve Shelton, and guitarist Skip Staples are Old Men In Hats. We hope you’ll let us play for you. We’ll all have a good old time.
